Established in 1959 as the Regional Engineering College, NIT Warangal has evolved into an institution of national importance under the NIT Act of 2007. Located in the historic city of Warangal, Telangana, our campus spans over 250 acres of lush greenery.

Admissions
Undergraduate Admissions (B.Tech)
Admission to the 4-year B.Tech program is through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) followed by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counseling.
Key Dates for 2024-2025
- JEE Main Registration Opens November 2023
- JEE Main Exam (Session 1) January 2024
- JoSAA Registration Starts June 2024
- Seat Allotment (Round 1) July 2024
Eligibility
Passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) and qualified in JEE Main.
Postgraduate & Doctoral Admissions
Admissions to M.Tech, M.Sc, MBA, and Ph.D. programs are conducted separately. Most programs require a valid GATE score for M.Tech and national-level tests for others.

- Check eligibility criteria for desired program on institute website.
- Fill online application form and pay application fee.
- Appear for written test/interview if shortlisted (for Ph.D. and some PG programs).
- Check final merit list and complete admission formalities.

By Train
Warangal Railway Station (WL) is well-connected to major cities. Direct trains from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Bangalore. Campus is 12 km from railway station; auto-rickshaws and taxis available.
By Road
Warangal is connected by National Highway 163. Regular bus services from Hyderabad (140 km), Vijayawada, and other major cities. Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) operates frequent services.
